Vitkovice shine at first X3M Berlin Open

Vitkovice shine at first X3M Berlin Open

It was most likely the major upset of the whole competition. Vitkovice, testing a sum of young players and struggling in some of the previous matches, won the final match of the premier X3M Berlin Open against the favourite Grasshopper Zürich with 6:5.

Ready to rock!

Only hours are left until the launch of the premier X3M Berlin Open. The hall equipment is being built up, the teams are arriving in the German Capital. From Friday till Sunday 16 teams will fight for the silver Cup. Follow the competition over Flickr, Facebook, Twitter & Co. Find out how.

Top referees listed

Do you know a good tournament without good referees? Not? We neither! Because of that we were looking for the best and we found them. Cerny / Janousek, Furmanek / Solc, Valenta / Zdarsky and Nabelek / Stengl. Here you can download the schedule with the referee listings.

Who wants a Wild Card?

Due to a cancellation by one club, we now have a free place for one more team. Clubs shall contact us directly and apply until Monday, 8th of August. The new team will be place in Group D and may already have a look at its schedule. So who wants the Wild Card?

Small change in friday schedule

Due to local facility work at the halls all friday matches will have to start 20 minutes earlier. We hope this small change won’t affect your travelling plans. You will find the updated schedule in our matches section. To avoid any stressy situations, teams may check in already from 14 o’clock. To prevent unnecessary queues we kindly ask you not to wait with the local registration until the last minute. Thanks folks!

Looking for further volunteers

Whereas the event is coming closer and closer the tournament organizers are looking for further volunteers. The X3M Berlin Open will demand the involvement of a number of ambitious helpers. Download our volunteer flyer, find out more and contact us at volunteer@fvbb.de.

Matrix Club official party partner

The probably most important question has been solved on time. This year’s “Players’ Party” will take place in the legendary Matrix Club. Since its opening in 1994, this place quickly developed into one of the hottest adresses in Berlin. Located between the vivid quarters of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, is in the right position to party up a great saturday evening. All licensed players have free entry, though we cannot guarantee entrance to youth under the age of 18.
